29 NOTEBOOKS FOR THE KURT-WAIBEL SCHOOL
At the Kurt-Waibel-Schule in Schwetzingen near Heidelberg, presents were given before Christmas in 2020.
Because there was a great surprise there.
During the coronavirus period, many students reported the need for devices for distance learning. However, some parents had little to no opportunity to provide their child with a mobile device due to the lockdowns. Others have several children who were in distance learning at the same time, making digital provision even more difficult.
The school children needed media to be able to take part in the school's online lessons. As the teachers at the Kurt Waibel School wanted to make this possible for every child, the network and multimedia advisors set out to find donors.
A cooperation between the Kurt Waibel School and Second IT was established through good contacts. Due to the problematic situation, it quickly became clear that the pupils should be supported.
A total of 29 used and refurbished laptops made many children's eyes light up. The donation also made it possible to give all pupils equal access to online lessons. The Christmas surprise was a complete success.
